We're back with another recommendation: Guatelinda! ✨ #HispanicHeritageMonth
Guatelinda is a family-owned Guatemalan restaurant in the Hartford neighborhood, serving up 60 years of family recipes and traditional flavors.
We tried some of the classics including garnachas, a shuco, flank steak, sweet plantains, tortillas, chicken and rice soup, and rellenitos, a plantain-based dessert.
The shuco, a Guatemalan hot dog, was INSANE. The soft, charred bread was smeared with fresh avocado, filled with traditional hot dog pieces, chorizo, steak, and topped with mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard. Plus it comes on a foot-long bun!
